My server was awesome. He was very engaging and suggested good food options. I ordered the grits and brussel sprouts and the twisted fries from the appetizer menu. SUPERB!!! I was so disappointed that they no longer serve Pepsi, so I had a beautiful and refreshing orange Fanta instead. Very inviting and festive atmosphere with Christmas decor.

We sat at the bar and the service and food were great! I'm from out of town but will definitely be back on my next visit.

Very cool ambience, and the food and service were very good. I have been there three times: once I got pizza (it wasn't bad but not as good as other things on the menu), once I got a chicken breast club sandwich special (not on the regular menu but it was really great), and once I got the twisted chicken sandwich (huge and so fresh and hot I had to wait a while before I could eat it). Everyone I have taken there has agreed it is a good restaurant. I have never had a SINGLE French fry from this place that wasn't crispy as hell!

First time here. We had the Brussel sprouts and grits and twisted shrimp for appetizers. Both were really good. Even if you think you don't like grits, you will love these. We had a filet special and the chicken spedini. Both were very good. Server was very knowledgeable and attentive. Atmosphere is casual. They seem to always be busy. However we did not have to wait for a table on a Tuesday evening. Will definitely be coming back.

Meg was our server and she did a great job. Always kept our drinks filled and made sure we were always taken care of. I had the spicy chicken sandwhich, which tbh doesn't look like much, but it was fantastic! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfectly balanced with the spices of the sandwich! I actually got another one to go and ate it on the way home because of how good it was! Ambiance is nice, nothing to write home about but certainly on the nicer side. Reminded me of a nicer cheddars or outback.

This was my first visit. Promptly greeted by the hostess and she sat me, then realized it was sunny and asked if I'd like a shadier spot. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and took the shade. I was pretty early for dinner, and the server asked if I'd like to know the specials or order off the menu? I asked if he could find out the special, and he did. That's what I ended up going with. I went to the restroom and a busser accidentally cleared my table and kind of passive aggressively reset it for 4 after I sat back down, but the manager was straight over and apologized to me, and took away the extra place setting and replaced my drink. The busser then returned and apologized for his confusion. The house salad was great. I ended up keeping most of it for leftovers. The ribeye was perfect! Medium rare, with a good sear on the outside. The risotto tasted really good. The three colors of peppers were pretty and delicious and the bacon finishing it off added a nice salty touch. HOWEVER... the risotto itself was a bit undercooked. Again, plenty of leftovers. The Halloween decorations everywhere were so fun, but also blended in well with the rest of the decor. Great execution. I'll definitely return. And maybe try that chicken sandwich everyone around me seemed to be ordering.

Great place to kick off the weekend! If you are looking for large portion sizes this place is for you! I ordered the wedge salad and everyone at our table was immediately shocked at how large it was, literally an entire head of lettuce! The avocado ranch on it was delicious. I also ordered salmon on it, which came out late unfortunately but was still delicous. We had the grits & brussell sprouts as an appetizer, very light and was a unique way to enjoy sprouts. The atmosphere had dim lighting that kept going up and down in brightness throughout our meal, as well the music was so loud at times that we couldn't always hear each other in our booth. Our server even stated when taking out orders that the environment was overstimulating for her and she couldn't hear us. The only thing that would make me think twice before returning is the price. I only had a wedge salad with salmon on my tab and with tip came to $30, on the high end for a salad.

Visiting St Louis for a quick overnight getaway, my wife and I wanted to find a spot for dinner; somewhere we couldn't eat back home. So I opened up my trusty YELP app and perused a list of options, and the one that really caught my eye was Twisted Tavern. I called to ask if we needed a reservation and learned they didn't take reservations, but that we could be added to the wait list and should have a table in a half hour. When we arrived, we checked in with the hostess and had a table within 15 minutes. We scouted out the menu online before getting there and knew it was going to be a struggle to choose. We ended up ordering four different apps and a wedge salad, all to share. The wedge included fried shallots, small tomatoes, bacon bits, and boiled eggs... the perfect amount of each. It was light and fresh-- a perfect way to start. The fried pickles and cheese curds were elevated versions of their expected counterparts. Each came with its own dipping sauce, and each was delicious. The curds were especially good. We also ordered the tenderloin skewers and the crispy Brussels sprouts over Grits. Both of these gave a glimpse of the capabilities of Twisted Tavern's kitchen staff. Each individual bite of the glazed tenderloin, served atop a green peppercorn sauce, was tender and packed with a perfect balance of flavor. The Brussels sprouts were roasted and charred, served over a bed of creamy cheesy grits made with Gouda-- a combination I would never have envisioned but loved at first bite. The dish was also drizzled with a trace of lemon aioli... subtle, but effective. Date nights for us almost always include a cocktail. My wife ordered the BlackBerry smash and dove straight in before I was able to catch a photo. She loved it. I ordered a Chocolate Espresso Martini and asked for it to come as dessert after the meal. Like everything else, it was delicious. Our server was wonderfully attentive, always checking in, but never hovering. I found this particularly impressive as the place was packed. There was nothing about our experience that was anything less than excellent. It takes A LOT to earn a five star rating from me, but Twisted Tavern deserves ALL of them!

Twisted Tavern has a quick but delicious happy hour! I opted for the cosmo, and my friend had their seasonal martini - and both were delightful! Our server was attentive and fast, and she checked on us frequently during the happy hour. I ordered the twisted salad and their two famous dressings mixed are delightful! The salad was huge and I added salmon for some protein. Everything tasted fresh and the croutons - I mean wow. Highly recommend for happy hour or dinner!
